Fresh Water Supply District
Lantana is located within a county development district and two Fresh Water Supply Districts. Development districts and Fresh Water Supply Districts are political subdivisions endowed with the functions, powers, authority, rights and duties that will permit them to accomplish the purpose for which they were created. The Fresh Water Supply Districts are the taxing authorities for the Lantana Community.

Fresh Water Supply District #6 and #7 are governed by a publicly elected board of directors. These boards operate similar to a city council, making all key decisions regarding district operations and conducting monthly meetings.

Fresh Water Supply District #6 (FWSD #6) usually holds meetings at 6:30 pm on the second Thursday of every month at 2650 FM 407 Suite 125, Bartonville, Texas 76226 Located in the Bartonville Town Center

Fresh Water Supply District #7 (FWSD #7) usually holds meetings at 12:30 pm on the second Thursday of the month at 2650 FM 407 Suite 125, Bartonville, Texas 76226 Located in the Bartonville Town Center
